Democracy Forum — Constitutional Crisis: What does civic courage look like?

"At its core, civic courage is the ability and willingness of citizens to speak up, act, and stand by core democratic and community values even when doing so involves personal risk, discomfort, or unpopularity—especially in public life and shared civic spaces." –- Samuel J. Abrams, American Enterprise Institute, Dec.2025

We'll talk about how civic courage and neighborliness create solidarity under stress. How are communities under pressure holding it together? -- in Minneapolis, in Maine, and in other communities around the country. What do we have in common with pro-democracy resistance movements around the world?
